When I Find the Ocean
In 1965, in Alabama , Lily Strickland (Lily Matland Holly) believes in dreams. She believes in courage against all odds. Lily lives in a safe home with wonderful caring grandparents, Edna (Diane Ladd), Thomas (Lee Majors) and a loving mother Jenny (Amy Redford). It has been years since Lily's father disappeared at sea. When Lily's mother finally allows someone new into her life, little does she know that Dean (Richard Tyson) has secrets. Secrets only her daughter Lily knows. With the help of Lily's late father, Lily escapes and set out on a journey of a lifetime. She faces many obstacles and is befriended by Amos (Bernie Casey), a tugboat captain. Lily's family searches for her with the help of Copeland (Graham Greene), a family friend.
In a time of controversy and change, Lily Strickland discovers not only courage but a journey of the spirit and a journey of the heart.
Tonya
Holly produced, wrote, and directed the short film “The
Mirror”, winner of Best Homegrown Short at the Sidewalk
Film Festival and Overall Winner at the Chicks
With Flicks Film Festival in New York City, NY.

"The Mirror" captures time
and reveals a very compelling story without using dialogue. It is
a risk that very few filmmakers
have taken, but Tonya S. Holly proves that it was a risk well worth
taking. This film is truly a work of art.
